Things to Do:
- Decide on title (as a class)
- Design and print invitations and posters (as a class)
- Mat artwork: 2” on the top and two sides, 2 1/2” on bottom; use sharp blade
- Write artist statement: Discuss concentration idea, how your concentration has evolved (refer to specific examples) and any pieces you are showing in your exhibit – Mount and hang.
- Create power point – black background, title of work, size and media on slide. – Due 5/24/11
- Create name tag to hang with exhibit.
- Write review of the whole exhibit, your section and others in class – Due 6/22 (exam day but can be handed in early.)
For Art Opening:
- Be here ½ hour early to set up
- Decide who is bringing what.
- Stay to clean-up at end.
- 2” border on 3 sides and 2 ½” on the bottom
- Use a sharp X-acto blade
- For Mounting use a smaller border - approx. 1 1/2" with 1 3/4" on the bottom - It should look balanced pleasing to the eye,
